Small Groups vs. Connect Groups - What's the difference?

Small Group: A small group is designed with a start and an end date, focusing on a specific subject or study.  Its content is cumulative, building upon each session, which means regular attendance is crucial for fully grasping the material. Typically, small groups operate within a closed format, allowing only the initial participants to join.  These groups usually follow a three-semester structure throughout the year, providing a well-defined timeline for members to engage deeply with the material and build relationships within a consistent group setting.

Connect Group:  A connect group, by contrast, is an open group that welcomes new participants at any time.  These groups do not center around a specific subject, making them more fluid and adaptable to the members' needs and interests.  Unlike small groups, connect groups do not have a cumulative structure, allowing members the flexibility to join or step away as needed without feeling left behind.  They operate year-round, fostering a welcoming environment where connections and relationships are prioritized over structured learning.
